Breakfast Table is a Vancouver based family business located in the South Granville neighbourhood. Launched in September 2016 by brothers-in-law George Koay and Michael Lee to bring their own perspective to brunch in Vancouver. Each had been working in the restaurant industry for over a decade and wanted something that would be their own, a reflection of their values..
The whole thing came together so quickly, George spotted a location for sale and within a couple of months they were operating. As such there wasn’t much time to put a visible fingerprint on the first location, the food and quality service was their identity and their following grew very quickly. After some time that original location was allocated to the new skytrain station at Broadway and Granville. After just three years, the hunt was on for a new home! Amazingly a promising new space in the same neighbourhood became available. Bigger, brighter more inviting and with an outdoor space as well. Through the challenges we faced we kept a positive outlook and in the end things have come out better than we could have hoped. Our team deserves so much credit for the hard work and support they’ve given us over the years, we’ve been so lucky!
